Description

The ACL-7225 is an extension version of ACL-7125. It provides 16 electro-mechanical relays for output actuation and 16 isolated digital inputs. It can plug directly into an AT-bus slot of any IBM PC or compatibles.

The 16 electro-mechanical relay outputs are addressed as two I/O bytes. Eight of the relays (outputs 0~4 and 8~12) are Form C contacts (normal open and normal closed) and the remaining relays are Form A (normal open only). A LED indicates each relay's ON/OFF status for monitoring.

The 16 opto-isolated D/I channels are used for sensing digital inputs and provide 1,000 VDC for isolation. Can be configured as AC filter or Non-AC filter by jumper settings.

I/O port Address Map

The ACL-7225 uses 4 consecutive I/O locations in the computer's I/O addressing space. The four registers are at Base Address +0, +1, +2 and +3. Register descriptions are listed in the table below.

Software

There are two software application programming alternatives for ACL-7225. The user can use either direct PORT I/O function or based on the DOS and Windows program libraries.

DOS Program Library/Windows DLL Drivers (ACLS-DLL1)
An extensive library of functions are available that support Microsoft C and Borland C/C++ under DOS environment. All the source codes and some demo programs are included for reference. A high performance Windows driver for Digital I/O functions are supported. It can be accessed from C, C++ and Visual
Basic under Windows 3.x environment.
